For Part 3 of our All Toyota Winterfest 2015 coverage it’s all about the classic rollas!
Corolla’s have remained on of the most popular Toyota’s across their entire lifespan and there was no shortage of fine over 25 year old examples at Winterfest.
The first gen Corollas have become a timeless classic. Petite and well proportioned with beautiful chrome accents.
In Sprinter configuration there are as fresh as a Tic Tac.
The second generation like most Toyota’s grew a little in size but still retained the charm.
As the popularity of the Corolla grew with Aussie consumers so did the size with the third gen platform. They still retained their classic design cues though. Who misses the days of model specific badges?
Honda power propelled this beast down from Sydney. Such a clean conversion must be commended.
The forth generation Corolla took a drastic change in styling adopting the square box craze of the 80’s.
Variety in the model line was always a Corolla strength and the gen five platform didn’t disappoint. FWD, RWD, sedan, hatch, liftback, 3, 4 or 5 doors, there was no shortage of choice. Today with the addition of personal imports there is more than you can poke a stick at.
Stay tuned for Part 4 when we take a look at some of the non-Corolla variety on show.
